To answer everyones question the accual mic Elvis used was as follows:

1969: Electro Voice RE-15, Shure 545, RCA HK 102

1970: Electro Voice RE-15, Shure SM-53, Shure SM-58, AKG 1200

1971: Electro Voice RE-16, Electro Voice RE-15

1972: Electro Voice RE-15, Shure SM-57

1973: Electro Voice RE-15, AKG D-224

1974: Electro Voice RE-15 (Houston only)

Can anyone tell me which microphone Elvis used in his Aloha from Hawaii concert?

I am trying to find one to purchase that is the same slim design that he used but I am struggling at the moment :(

Elvis used a directional Shure - and if you listen - his voice was natural and not enhanced on stage - though it was in movie sound tracks
